IMPRIM'VERT

IMPRIM'VERT

NewWorks was awarded the Ile-de-France IMPRIM’VERT® label by the Syndicat ICG Ile-de-France, the Chambre Consulaire Y, ADEME and the Agence de l’Eau Seine-Normandie for one year (renewable) counting from 1 November 2005.

This label signifies that NewWorks has run its production effectively while caring about the protection of the environment.

Concretely, NewWorks

- ensures that the waste it produces is collected and processed by state-certified processing and recycling contractors. NewWorks has also set aside an area of its document-production premises for the storage of dangerous products in order to avoid all risks of accidental pollution.
- NewWorks undertakes not to use toxic products in its offset printing operations.

The production of printed materials requires the use of products that may be harmful to the environment (risks include water, soil or air pollution) or to the health and safety of our production staff if they are not handled properly.

By entrusting the printing of your documents to NewWorks you can be certain that the environment will not be affected through your contractor’s work. You will be helping to preserve the environment through a purchase that is a responsible one in the long term, for the Imprim’vert label is renewable, following an annual audit of the NewWorks document design and production branches.
Apart from the formal recognition conferred by this Imprim’vert label, the company’s values are reflected by the NewWorkers themselves, who are the permanent guarantors of the NewWorks commitment to protection of the environment and to be a socially responsible company.

NewWorks uses only papers that meet the European standards currently in force:

The European 'Copying Paper' eco-label

The ecological requisites set by this eco-label form a highly impressive, consistent body making for a cradle-to-the-grave environmental approach (assessment of all the stages in the paper’s life cycle taking account of numerous types of impact: power consumption, gas emissions, liquid effluents, origin of the fibres, forest stewardship, use of chemicals, etc.)

The Nordic 'Printing Paper' eco-label (White Swan)

The ecological criteria it sets are on a level similar to those set by the European 'Copying paper' eco-label.

The German 'Recycled Paper' eco-label (Blue Angel)

This label focuses primarily on the use of recycled fibres without setting specific requirements with regard to environmental recycling management. It nevertheless gives guarantees as regards content (equivalent: 100%) and the nonuse of particular substances in the manufacturing process.

Recycled fibres & new fibres (sustainably managed forests)

The Möbius loop

This is the recycling symbol; when it features a percentage, it indicates that the article is manufactured from recycled materials. Good usage practice for this logo is laid down in an international standard (ISO 14002). This being so, make sure you insist that your supplier complies in full with the recycled substance content calculation definitions laid down in this standard. This logo states solely whether the article contains (or does not contain) recycled fibres.

The A.P.U.R. (Association des Producteurs et des utilisateurs de papier-cartons recyclés [association of recycled paper and cardboard producers and users])

The association has created a registered trademark, which it manages and controls. In order to win it, manufacturers pledge to comply with a usage charter: the logo clearly states the percentage of recycled fibres used to manufacture the article.

Each range of paper or cardboard bears an endorsement number guaranteeing the veracity of the information given to the purchaser. It states solely that the article contains recycled fibres.
